Cursi is situated the central part of Salento, at a range of 30,1 Km from Lecce. It is one of the cities where the local stone is extracted. At the beginning of the XIX century it belonged to the Decatrìa Choria with Sogliano Cavour, Cutrofiano, Cannole and the current villages of Grecìa Salentina. Together they used to preserve the Greek language and traditions. "Croce di Bagnolo" and "Croce delle Tagliate" are two menhirs representative ancient times.
