Santa Maria di Leuca, a fraction of Cape Castrignano, hosts the De Finibus Terrae sanctuary, one of Italy's tallest lighthouses, and the monumental waterfall of the Apulian Aqueduct. The Marina is between Punta Ristola and Punta Mèliso. The surrounding area is a constellation of caves, divided into three systems, Rada, Ponente and Levante. Heading back to Gagliano del Capo, there is Ciolo, which is the first in a series of coastal must-sees between Santa Maria di Leuca and Otranto. Take highway 16, then the 275 or 101 for Gallipoli and continue with the 274 to reach Santa Maria di Leuca.
