Castiglione d'Otranto (Castijune in Salento dialect) is a village of 1,220 inhabitants of the town of Andrano in the province of Lecce. It is located in southern Salento. The urban center of Castiglione d'Otranto rises at 108 m above sea level, is 3 km away from the capital city and about 50 km from Lecce. The surrounding area is flat and is covered with immense expanses of olive groves.
