San Vito is a residential seaside resort of the town of Taranto. Today the town of San Vito, despite its forced amalgamation with the villages of Talsano and Lama and his military vocation (because of some Navy installations) is to be considered a true residential center, as well as a tourism destination. The current buildings are of relatively recent construction.
