St. Isidoro is a town in the municipality of Nardo in Lecce's province. The town has developed especially in recent years and is named after the 16th-century tower that overlooks a long sandy beach. The village is popular in the summer by residents of Copertino. Torre St Isidoro is one of several coastal watch-towers of Salento built by Charles V in the 16th century to defend the land against the assaults of the Saracens.
