Church of St. Anna

The first church of St. Anna, was demolished by order of the bishop in the second half of the 16th century, given the poor state in which it was. Following the demolition, an elder of the country (named Caterina) accidentally discovered an image depicting St. Anna in a ruined chapel near the village. As a result of the many graces attached to the image, in the country was revived the devotion to the Saint and so started a collection of money for the reconstruction of the sacred building. Work on the new church was completed in 1677. The project is attributed to Francesco Manuali.
