Dolmen Placa
Discovered by Palumbo in 1909, this dolmen lies on an emerging rock bank and is 85cm tall. It has a plate which rests on just 4 of the 7 abutments observed by De Giorgi.
This large slab has variable thickness from 40 cm on the west and up to 17 cm to the east. Two of the 4 orthostates show vertical lesions and a wild olive tree has replaced the southern abutment's supporting function which moved a few inches away from the slab.
An hole of 15 cm diameter and 20 cm in depth is dug on the surface of the slab to the west.
This dolmen can be found on the road for Calimera.
