Melendugno's Castle
The castle, or rather, the tower, is now called D'Amely baronial mansion, was built on the edge of Lecce's ancient city walls in the province of Lecce and is 12.50 meters high with walls of 4.5 meters.
Of particular interest is the similarity, although smaller in size, withCastel Sant 'Elmo in Naples and with some architectural elements of the defensive citadel of Malta. Such similarities could be explained by the fact that these areas were ruled by the Habsburgs.
