Caprarica di Lecce's Feudal Castle
The baronial palace of Caprarica was built by the Giustiniani in the 17th and 18th centuries. Actually, the first fortified structure dates back to the Norman period (20th century) and consisted of two towers, one of which is still visible in the garden. In the following centuries, the feudal families who succeeded rebuilt the castle with the art and taste of the moment.
The Giustinianis renovated the castle in the 17th century, giving it its current appearance.
