Arnesano is an Italian town of 4,036 inhabitants in the province of Lecce in Apulia. Located in the northern Salento, it also includes the town of Riesci from which is located 600 m to the west. It is a municipality of Lecce's hinterland and it geographically belongs to Valle della Cupa, one of the most evident depressions in the lowlands of Lecce (32 m). The municipal area, which extends for a total of 13.47 km ², is bordered to the north by the towns of Carmiano and Novoli, to the east by the municipality of Lecce, ito the south with the municipalities of Monteroni di Lecce and Copertino and to the west with the municipality of Leverano.
