Menhir Aia della Corte

Discovered in 1922, is a parallelepiped located on the rocky bank of a flower bed in a widening at the end of via Vecchia San Nicola, at the back of the church.
The use and purpose of these monuments is not clear that , since ancient times, have had ritual functions in Salento. Recent studies have shown how these "Thick Stones" may have been boundary stones to delimit roman centuriations.
