Menhir Vicinanze 2
The menhir stands 300 cm above a rocky outcrop, 150 cm tall in turn, and is located near the menhir Vicinanze 1. The faces appear beveled, in part probably by the signs of time.
Palumbo, a local scholar, wrote about this menhir: "I saw it standing in 1930, but when I came back to photograph it in May 20, 1931, I found it broken in two, because of the weathering, I was told. On May 24, 1951, I photographed the two fragments. This column was raised again after more than 22 years, June 19, 1953 following my request done at the Superintendency of Antiquities of Apulia and Materano. I photographed it standing once again 10 days later and gave news of its restoration to the press, as I have always done".
