Capo Lupo's tower
Capo Lupo's tower (or Lupo tower) named after the corporal who resided here, is a coastal tower placed in the Municipality of Diso in the village of Marittima, at 105 m above sea level. It is one of the oldest in Salento, dating from the late 15th century. It was built for defense against the incursions of the Saracens. It has a cylindrical shape with a height of just over 7 meters. It falls into private ownership and was in strong degradation before the restoration in 1986. It communicated to the north with Diso tower and to the south with Porto di Ripa tower.
