Spinola-Caracciolo's Castle

This castle is a fortified architectural complex situated in the municipality of Andrano, in the province of Lecce: it dates back from the 13th century and was subject of continuous renovations over the centuries.
It has a quadrangular plan, reinforced at the corners of the main facade by towers.
Interesting is the courtyard, which features a staircase, three refined windows and a dovecote. Numerous inscriptions can be admired on doors and windows, both inside and outside of the castle.
