Roman theater

The Roman theater is located in the historic center of the city and was accidentally discovered in 1929, during some of the works carried out in the gardens of two historic buildings of the city (D'Arpe and Romano palaces). Of uncertain date, the theater is assigned to the Augustan period.
Currently all the findings of the Roman theater are kept in the adjacent museum of the same name.
It is assumed that the theater was able to contain an audience of over 5,000 spectators.
