Regional Natural Park Salina of Punta della Contessa

It's an oasis of protection and SPA of Brindisi between Capo di Torre Cavallo and Punta della Contessa.
The area is characterized by vast reservoirs of fresh water along the coast and numerous channels that descend to the sea by collecting rainwater.
The oasis is very important from an ornithological point of view, especially in the channel "Foggia di Rau" where you can also find the turtle Emys orbicularis, which suffered a decrease in population in the last decades.
