Mother Church
The Mother Church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, was rebuilt in 1596 as can be seen from the epigraph placed on the portal.
The interior houses some baroque altars of the 17th and 18th centuries among which stand out those of the Madonna Annunziata, with a painting of the famous painter Oronzo Tiso from Lecce, and the Immaculate Conception (1618), with a painting by Cesare Fracanzano. The other altars are dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament (1750), the Nativity (early 17th century), the Resurrection of Jesus, Our Lady of Mount Carmel (1697) and the Crucifix, the latter two placed in the transept. Interesting are the organ and the 18th-century wooden ceiling.
