Museum of Paleontology and Palaeoethnology "D. De Lorentis"
The FTAA is the complex that includes the municipal library and the Museum of Paleontology and Palaeoethnology "Decio de Lorentiis. This museum was created in 1960 in the Sticchi Palace in Maglie and is important for the specificity of its collections dedicated to geology, palaeontology and prehistory, for a large area of southern Italy. It exhibits more than 2,500 artifacts, from the Cretaceous to the end of the Bronze Age. Apart from these sections, since 2009, there is a new section dedicated to ethnography and African art, the result of a donation by the scholar Florio Santini.
