Megalith / Maglie (LE)
Menhir delle Franite
The menhir, also known by the name of Crocemuzza, was discovered by Cosimo De Giorgi in the late nineteenth century. Broken into four sections in 1958, was later restored and put back in place where today rises for 430 cm in height. The megalith (45 x 35 cm) rests on a stone base and is protected by an iron grating. The cross incised on the top on the N side is clearly visible.
