Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli

The church of Santa Maria degli Angeli was built starting from 1524, as a bequest of the noble Bernardo Peruzzi. Several renovations over the centuries have partially modified its original appearance.
Two different interventions of renaissance and baroque period can be noticed.
Of renaissance period is the superb portal, decorated with friezes by sculptor Lecce Gabriele Riccardi, while Baroque are the additions of the side windows.
The building has a three naves longitudinal plant.
