Church of San Marco
Located in the center of Lecce, it dates back to the XVI century.
Of Gabriel Riccardi the facade's simple geometric pattern of the late renaissance, a single cubic block that concentrates all its ornamental richness in the central portal and the elaborate sculptural friezes of local stone connecting the portals. The winged lion with the book, symbol of Mark the Evangelist, completes the decoration of the main façade.
