Castles / Lucugnano - Tricase (LE)
Capece of Lucugnano's castle
It was built in the 16th century by the Castriota Scanderbeg family, as an extension of the original Norman tower. The tower has a squareplant and is crowned by brackets and is equipped with battlements. The building has undergone many renovations over the centuries by the feudal families who owned it. The residence is composed of 22 rooms on two floors, has a severe Reinassance prospectus, characterized by decorative geometric patterns that adorn the lintels and cornices. The upper part of the structure is crowned by a frieze.
