Roccaforzata is an Italian town of 1,848 inhabitants in the province of Taranto in Apulia. The country of Roccaforzata stands on a hill at 145 m above sea level, the highest in the Serra of Sant'Elia. In medieval times, the settlement was known as Rocca-Vecchia, in the 17th century as Rocca-Nuova and in the early 19th century it took its current name.
