Posto Rosso is a seaside resort in the province of Lecce, in the municipality of Alliste. It is located between the towns of Capilungo and Torre San Giovanni, on the crossroads which reaches Felline from the coast The town has developed especially since the 70s. The coast is characterized by a practicable low cliff. The name is probably due to the reddish color of the rocks. The town is also known by the name of Cisternella, whose name derives from the presence of a "small tank", source of fresh water.
