Church of San Pietro
The church is an important expression of Byzantine art in Puglia. Built around the 9th-10th century, was probably the first basilica in the city, elected metropolis in 968. It has three small aisles surmounted by a central dome supported by four columns. The three apses at the bottom preserve cycles of byzantine style frescoes.
