Vito Mele museum

The Vito Mele Museum is a museum that was opened July 31, 2004 in Santa Maria di Leuca, set up in the rooms adjacent to the sanctuary restored in 2000. Museum of significant sculptors and painters of contemporary art, it was created by sculptor Vito Mele and Giuseppe Stendardo, rector of the Basilica Sanctuary of Santa Maria di Leuca. Mele (Presicce, 1942), to whom the name of the museum is dedicated, lives and works in Garbagnate Milanese and is present in the collective dedicated to Scultori della Permanente in Milan. Among the works on display there are numerous artists:
