Church of Sant'Irene
The church of Sant'Irene Teatini is dedicated to Sant'Irene from Lecce, patron of the city until 1656, when Pope Alessandro VII proclaimed the patronage of a saintly bishop of Lecce: Sant'Oronzo.
The church was built starting in 1591 and completed in 1639.
In 1866 the adjoining convent was suppressed but the church, however, remained open for worship.
