Church of Santa Elisabetta
It is a small church located in Via Libertini, in the historic center of the city. It was formerly dedicated to Sant'Andrea Apostolo and is also known as church of Nova.
Its construction dates back to 1519.
The facade is simple and linear with a small renaissance portal surmounted by a rose window rebuilt in the 19th century.
The interior is small and has a single nave with a vaulted roof. Four 18th century altars, two on each side, have interesting paintings depicting the Piety, Sant'Antonio di Padova, San Gerardo Maiella and a papier-mâché statue of St. Elizabeth of Hungary (18th century). On the high altar is placed the statue of Our Lady of the Assumption in papier-mâché, work of the late 17th century. Finally, the fourteen Stations of the Cross on the walls date back to the 18th century
