Tricase is a town and comune in the province of Lecce, part of the Apulia region of south-east Italy. It is located in the Salento traditional region. Tricase is the site of a castle and of a Quercia Vallonea, an oak which is amongst the oldest trees in Italy, dating from the 13th century. After World War II, a refugee camp was set up at Tricase, sometimes referred to as Tricase Porto or Tricasi displaced persons camp.
