Mother Church

Located in the heart of Carpignano Salentino, the Mother Church is dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption. It was rebuilt in the 17th century on a 15th century building of modest size.
Inside there are valuable works of the 18th century and sumptuous baroque altars. Dating back to the 16th and the 17th century are some oil paintings from the old structure.
