San Giovanni la Pedata tower
Torre San Giovanni la Tread is a tower in the town of Gallipoli, in Lido San Giovanni. It was built in the 16th century for defensive purposes in response to the Saracens' incursions. The interior, which is accessed through a small door, is divided into two floors connected by a staircase. It is home to a marine biology station.
